I got a ton of compliments on the color and I absolutely loved it. It was great as depending on the light, it either looked oyster-y, blusish or grey. I also own quite a bit of brown in my wardrobe, but gray (despite it's working class roots) has a distinguished feel about it, plus you can match just about any other color with it as an accent and it works. The problem with gray is that many people associate it with a drab spring day (having grown up in Ohio, I was once of of these people). It sounds like gray is currently going through a bit of rebranding ... hopefully it sticks. Do you think that would take some of the "edge" off for those purists who dare to fall for a GRAY wedding dress? I, personally, LOVE the trend- I think that chocolate brown has trickled down as far as it can go. Give it a rest and bring it back in 20 years as a "Millennial throwback" , our daughters will LOVE the retro chocolate brown and green apple palettes! JMHO!
