We interrupt today’s regularly-scheduled wordosity … for a post that’s mostly pics. Yes-way.
Can’t remember how I came across this, but when I hit my first cupcake soap at Etsy, I was hooked.
What can I say? Food and I, we’re THIS close. I never met non-factory food I didn’t like (except maybe macaroni and cheese. Longtime hater. Which is anyway factory food).
Now add adorably styled food. Now add adorably styled food that’s durable and guilt-free. Well, all this can be yours on Etsy.
Donuts, yellow cake and pineapple upside down cake by Soapapotamus, pink cupcake by CozyMoments, Hostess Cupcakes soap by LoveLeeSoap, Oreo soaps by Dirty*ssSoaps, blue and yellow cupcakes by AnitaCraftyCreations, ice cream soaps by aBreathofFrenchair.
Party-lovers of the world: we gotcher donuts, yer cupcakes, yer soapy hostess cupcakes (complete with a creamy soap filling … cut it in half, really!). We got yer soapy ice cream bars, yer oreo cookies, yer variations on that classic yellow cake.
All of them delectably scented (swoon) and handcrafted by real people in their chic little homes where they probably labor in ruffled vintage aprons, also from Etsy. Well at any rate, none of this is from an Asian factory.
The price points here are slightly higher than your average favor. These tend to range from $5 to $10 each. Which is kind of criminally low when you look at the artistry that goes into every one of them.
These would be fabulous for an intimate shower, the good kind, where everyone knows everyone else from those Kappa days. I’d love to see them as supporting acts for a tea party theme. Or any shower designed around brights (a.k.a. orange and hot pink paper lanterns) or whimsy.
You know the girls are going to be totally impressed when they figure these out. Nobody ever is going to walk away wondering how to lose these on the way to the car. Donut-scented soaps. Oh my God. Check them out.
