Just a “tasteful” reminder of some beautiful and edible fall wedding favors in the shop, both classics and fresh new debutantes.
Because as everyone knows, edible favors belong to that very magical category that doesn’t get left behind. (In fact, an obnoxious guest, if not precisely your younger brother, could very well start circling the tables during the father-daughter dance, looking to score a little extra booty … or is that when you’re giving away mini-liquor bottles? I can never remember.)
Anyway, these days, there must be a lot of specialist elves that skipped Santa’s Shop, because edible favors are often rising to the “work of art” level. The new brownie pops in particular leave me dewey-eyed, but then let’s not forget the more timeless ones, like those individual bottles of maple syrup or the new olive oil favors from Beaucoup.
(FYI: DIY-ers can do their own syrup bottles, but you must keep them consistently refrigerated or the syrup will spoil. It turns a funny green on top, too).
A quick side note: the individual foil packs of coffee are very, very popular this season. There seems to be a definite shift toward practical and/or edible favors this year, as brides seek to associate more value with every purchase. Another breakout star for this fall and winter are the bookmark favors, particularly the ones running less than $1 apiece (and that includes the gift box).
Speaking as a voracious reader, all too prone to dog-earing a page even when (whoops!) the book came from the library, I’ll personally make myself available to receive any extra bookmark favors you have lying around. There. One less worry for you, right?
